If pets are exposed to high temperatures for extended periods, they can suffer from heatstroke, which may lead to symptoms such as lethargy, dizziness, and shock.

Therefore, it is important to keep their environment cool, especially in hot weather.

The AVANTPET 2.0 is a cooling mat that maintains a temperature of 37.4°F to 41.0°F lower than room temperature, using FDA-certified eco-friendly food-grade materials.

It features antimicrobial fabric and natural phytoncide oil to ensure comfort for pets. We design our products with the safety and health of pets in mind.

The low-viscosity AVANTPET Cool Gel excels in heat transfer, allowing it to circulate heat away from your pet’s body more quickly,

thereby maintaining a lower temperature for a longer period.

Conventional cooling mats contain superabsorbent polymers that take up to 500 years to decompose.

Pets have thinner skin and weaker immune systems than humans, making them more susceptible to skin conditions.

Since pets can react sensitively to even minor irritations, we used antimicrobial fabrics with Polygiene technology to create a cleaner living environment.

Microfiber fabric, commonly used in bedding, has been treated with Polygiene to enhance its durability,

promote quick drying, and provide superior water resistance.

Cool mats are often subjected to frequent temperature changes between room temperature, refrigeration,

and freezing, which increases the likelihood of mold growth.

Mold spores inside the mat can penetrate the fabric and cause skin related irritation/illness for pets.

However, AVANTPET Cool Gel effectively prevents 99% of mold growth.

The components of Cool Gel, phytoncide, and PG, inhibit mold growth. PG, commonly being used as a food additive,

has preservative effects and moisturizing properties.

Phytoncide, a natural antimicrobial substance extracted from plants and trees, inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold.

Polymer gels used in commercial cooling mats become so cold when frozen that they harden and can cause skin damage.

However, AVANTPET Cool Gel has a freezing point of -58°F, which is very low, allowing it to freeze smoothly like a slushy.

This provides a cooling effect that is comfortably suited to body temperature.

Pet sweat, saliva, and other bodily fluids, as well as external contaminants, can dirty the mat.

Q: My pet tore and ate the cooling mat. Is it okay?

A: Avanpet cooling gel is made of propylene glycol (PG), which is a food ingredient, and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), which is commonly used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, as its main ingredients. Although it is edible, please note that it is not developed as a food product. If your pet frequently chews on objects, it is recommended to wrap the cooling mat with a towel or something similar to give them time to adjust to it.

Q: There is mold on the surface of the product.

A: Mold on cooling mats is a common occurrence caused by the saliva or sweat of pets, which can occur when exposed to a high-humidity environment for an extended period. This is a typical phenomenon that can occur not only in cooling mats, but also in other products such as pet bedding and toys. Like other products, it is recommended to periodically clean the Avanpet cooling mat to create a safe and long-lasting environment for your pets.

Q. The cooling mat doesn't feel cool after using it for a while!

A. Due to the product characteristics, the thermal conductivity may decrease after a certain period of use, resulting in less coolness. You can try putting it in the freezer or refrigerator for a short time to make it feel cooler.

Q. Does the cooling mat shrink over time?

A. All cooling mats that use cool gel, including Avanpet cooling mats, contain purified water. When the cooling mat is used for a long time, the water absorbs thermal energy, causing evaporation and natural loss of moisture. To delay this evaporation process, Avanpet cooling mats are coated with multiple x-layers of coating during the PVC lamination process.

Q. My pet doesn't get on the cooling mat.

A. It is recommended to use it with snacks or cushions that your pet is used to as they may be unfamiliar with the new item.

Q. I put it in the refrigerator, and it became moist when I used it.

A. This is a very natural scientific phenomenon. If you leave it in the refrigerator for a long time and then take it out, condensation may occur on the surface of the product due to the moisture in the air. You can wrap it in a towel or something similar for a few minutes and use it, and then remove it when the temperature rises a bit.

This will help people and pets maintain cool body temperature and less catch a cold due to drastic temperature changes out of using A/C. General cool gel products made out of polymer-based cool gel may carry microplastic which causes environmental pollution. Polymer gel not only destroys the marine ecosystem but also causes mold easily in high temperature and humidity during summertime. It can also cause skin trouble because a cooling product touches human and pet’s skin. Ocean Flow uses safe and non-irritating FDA-approved food-grade ingredients to make Eco Cool Gel and they have patented fungus free technology, so this prevents growing mold inside of the cool gel.
